Connecting external Hardrive to Router

Hey all, i am on the hunt of an external hardrive that could be connected to my router which would allow me to access it throught my main computer and my wireless laptop. Was this possible? How much would the Hard drive cost? Could someone give me a name of what type of hard drive does this?

Thanks in advance!

Funnily I'd only just added NAS to the backup sticky yesterday. Not that anyone looks there.

How large? I'm kind of thinking of it but probably don't really need one.

  • I've got one of these and would highly recommend it. Gigabit, FTP, Printserver, USB 2.0 port to daisychain additional disks and tweakable firmware.

    Normally sells for £170 (e.g. Play.com)
