Disturbia is available to buy on 21st January and to celebrate the ‘Slum have got a Phillips 15 inch LCD TV plus x2 copies of the DVD to give away. Rising star Shia LaBeouf (Transformers, I Robot) plays frustrated teenager Kale Brecht, whose boredom leads to voyeuristic games and brings his worst nightmares to life. Under house arrest for punching a teacher who made an insensitive remark about his dead father and with mother Julie, played by Carrie-Anne Moss (Matrix), working long hours, Kale passes the time spying on neighbours through binoculars.
It brings the beautiful Ashley, played by Sarah Roemer (Asylum), into his life, but when pointed in the direction of Robert Turner’s house, Kale’s binoculars reveal a far more sinister neighbour.
The teenagers become convinced that Turner, played by David Morse (The Green Mile), is a serial killer and soon become entangled in a spying game which escalates into something far worse. Being trapped in a house where the hunter becomes the hunted leads Kale to a hellish scenario.
