I have subscribed to the Waitrose Anytime internet service for six months now and have had superb service from them. A couple of days ago I suddenly found that I could not connect to the service. To cut a long story short this was down to BT, who were having problems with the equipment that deals with 0808 numbers. This happened twice in two days.
To resolve the problem I had to talk to the Waitrose Technical help-line (which I think is located in India) several times. I must say that they were excellent. For a start it is a free-call number, so none of this 50p a minute nonsense. The call is answered immediately and the people on the help desk know what they are talking about. They even rang me the next day to confirm that the fault had been fixed and that I was able to connect to the internet.
I have had dealings with other ISPs in my time , most notably Freeserve/Tiscally. With those I had to wait up to 20 minutes to have my call answered and it cost 50p a minute. So a big thumbs up to Waitrose and for their Anytime service which costs £14.99 a month.
