in Credit cards
Sorry if this a very elementary question.Im not that savvy when it comes to Credit cards etc
I have an Egg card with about £800 on it. I need to buy some air tickets asap and want to know if I transfer the whole amount to a 0% card what happens to the guarantee?
If something goes wrong with the tickets does the new company help out or is it up to the old -now discarded -company to help.
I need to know before I take the next step.
BTW -not buying the tickets isnt an option .It isnt for a holiday as such -just in case anyone was wondering.

It is the 'old' company, as you put it, Egg, which continues to share the liability with the airline. Transferring your balance away from them doesn't alter that.
(Why not go for a 0% on purchases card and use that to buy the 'large ticket' item instead - there will be fees on balance transfer but none on a deferred purchase?).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
