Computer freezing on email links

Registering on 2 different sites, both send email (hotmail) which have a register/activate now box to complete registration. When clicked on the computer freezes and have to restart. Any ideas?

dont click them. copy the text and paste it directly into your browsers address bar

Box does not have address in it to paste, only a 'activate now' message to click on. Also what would cause this to happen?

If you right click over trhe activate button and click properties it should show the link address. Copt that into your address bar.
Not sure why it would happen, may be a security issue. try a different browser likw firefox

Thanks for the advice but sis will have to get someone to have a look at it to get to the bottom of the problem.
