Hotel in Italy & Portugal...

Hi,

I am going to Italy(Pisa) In June 2008 with a few friends. I will be arriving at Pisa airport, I think a hotel in the area of Piacenza would be good because its close to Milan - Orio airport, which i would be flying out from. But can you please help me find a hotel in a good location; with transport links, good scenery? (not sure if Piacenza is a good area but what do you think?) Staying in Italy for about 7 full days. We're all students, so I am looking a bargain hotel (2/3star). Area where we to can visit famous places, good food, outdoor activities...

Then going to Portugal(Faro), any recommendation for a hotel with the same details as above (e.g. good transport links, etc)?

Any help would be grateful

Thanks

I'd recommend doing a search on Venere - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
PM me if you want a 4% discount code.

I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere (also check out hotelscomparison.com), as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.

    Hope that helps

PS - I'm not connected to this website in any way, and I don't gain anything from this post. I also found the discount code on another forum.

    Thanks for your reply

Looking to spend £20-30 per night per person, i can't find anything that prices range (there is so many hotels to choose from and they are all expensive), why is that? well in the UK there is plenty of hotels you can book in advance and get for cheap as chips. As there is six people going, would it be best to book an apartment, or something?
  • Any help with post 1#, please. It will just be Italy for two weeks. Any ideas of what you can do there?

    Thanks
