We'll be flying into Gatwick next month and going to see a mate's band play at London Uni (ulu)...
Can someone point me in the right direction as to the best way to get to the city from Gatwick and some places(b&b, hotels) and or areas to stay (near the Uni) that won't break us heh
Thanks!

www.hostelbookers.com for places to stay - I have stayed at Journeys at kings cross and wouldn't reccomend it unless you are very unfussy and skint. you might be able to find a travelodge £19 room depending on when you are going. YHA's in london are really nice - www.yha.org.uk - expect to pay about £18 pppn but includes breakfast - if you are not a member you can still book but will pay an extra £3 pppn
get a train ticket that includes travelcard - i think that works out cheaper but check with the ticket guys at gatwick as they are really really helpful.
Hope the gig goes well - what band is it btw?I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
