Ditto the watching but not cooking along. I can't afford it and also I don't have a tv in the kitchen
    I'm through accepting limits
    'Cuz someone says they're so
    Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!

I'm watching because I can't watch the TV in the kitchen and its on too late to eat! The idea is good but people (on the radio this morning) are expecting a lot of waste as two dishes will be cold and they're guessing he won't wait while people eat first and second courses!

He did a Xmas dinner on the radio on Xmas morning/afternoon 2006, it was nice to listen to but i couldn't have imagined trying to keep up!!!

That said, i shall probably watch it but not be cooking, as i seem to spend my evenings pottering around the kitchen, as i am way down the pecking order for telly buttons in our house, lol!!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

That's what I wondered. When would you eat it, or is the idea that you're cooking for people and you don't get to try it!!!! Unless they strategically place the ad breaks so you can throw the food down your neck!!

    I don't think I'll bother
  • Yeah according to Gordon on Richard and Judy yesterday you should have time to eat in the breaks (although he did look pretty sheepish about it :) not exactly michelin dining) Won't be doing it myself, not much good for non meat eaters :)

Well DH and I are going to be watching and cooking :j.

I'm pretty excited to be honest (my life is simple, LOL!)

Scallops are one of my favourite dishes
    Steak is lush
    And choccie mousse ... yum

Considering this as our "New Year's Eve dinner".

Not quite sure how it's going to work out, but gotta worth a giggle.
The aim apparently is to cook and eat the starter and main during the programme, with the dessert enjoyed afterwards..... we'll see how it goes!

Good Luck Zed42 - I'll be thinking of you!
  • Good for you Zed! I hope you enjoy it.:D Update us when it's all over and the washing up is done.

I'll be watching only, it sounds like fun as I believe there'll be webcams linking people who are participating. But I like doing things in my own time and I'm not sure we'll appreciate it if we don't get time to chew it.

I'll be drinking the wine though;) .

If you video'd it you would have plenty of time to eat because you could make the breaks as long as you wanted.
