Places to go in the Yorkshire Dales?

Hi all,
In a month I'll be lucky enough to spend 4 nights near Semer Water in the Yorkshire dales with my partner and our 3 month old baby.
I've had a look on some of the websites about the dales and the problem seems to be too many places to go and things to see! And it all looks so beautiful. No way can we cram in everything we want to do without pelting round and not getting chance to catch our breath. It's our first holiday away together and our first trip to the dales proper (we've only been to Richmond, Skipton and Bolton Abbey in that area before).
Is there anything we "must do/must see". We'll have a sling so won't need it to always be pram friendly spots. Any must do walks or must see spots?
Anyone have any personal recommendations they'd like to share? Any ideas greatly appreciated!
PS If we went to somewhere like Stump Cross Caverns would it be baby safe?

I wouldn't recommend any walks on the moors in the middle of winter especially with a child but The Wenslydale creamery at Hawes is good for a visit nice cheese too ! In fact Hawes is a pleasant place itself

Hardraw Force plus of course Aysgarth Falls both are good but can be very muddy and slippy especially at this time of year
You can also go on a trip on the Settle Carlisle railway which goes through some wonderful countryside

If the weather is fair then Fountains Abbey & Studlley Royal water garden is well worth a drive
I was going to suggest "The Forbidden Corner" as well but just checking it doesn't open until April but if you come up again its well worth a visit

Enjoy"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
