ok im looking at some broadband deals as im on dial up at the moment
the mobile broadband deals for £15 that give 3gb use sounds ideal for me , but i need to make sure 3gb would be enough
so......is there a internet meter where i can measure what i currently use in a month
thanks

Also... this won't help until you actually sign up for your broadband account, but good ISPs allow you to monitor your usage on a portal, or even a plug-in via a browser such as Firefox, have one with Zen which is excellent.0

this is a well know program to measure net useage.
3gb should be ok for general surfing. as long as you dont DL lots of music/videos etc...
to give you some idea, my DS is a heavy DL user, and he uses over 30gb per month.Get some gorm.0 -
The other thing to consider is that when you change to broadband your usage will go up significantly as things that took ages on dial up can be done so much more quickly.
Bear in mind that any sort of streaming sites, such as watching online videos, internet radio for any period of time, music, and of course downloading, will very quickly push up your usage.0 -
I don't download full movies/videos, but do the occasional track from iTunes, and watch the odd funny on YouTube. But I'm a heavy e-mail and general web user for work research purposes when at working from home, but I have yet never exceeded my 2Gb a month allowance from Zen, but usually come quite close at the end of the month.0
