Final wages...they wont pay up.

My friend was dismissed from her job on august the 10th last year. It was an unfair dismissal and the CAB advised she take action but she was just glad to see the back of the company and wanted to move on.
She received her letter and P45 but 6 months on they are still fobbing her off with her pay. When she spoke to the area manager he said that unofficially she would have to fight for her final wage. When she called payroll and personell they said that only one person would speak to her but after several letters asking and phonecalls later she is always told this person is busy and will get back to her...which she doesn't.
After 6 months she has had enough but i am clueless to what she should do. Is there any laws she should know that entitles her to her last pay? What should she do?
Thank you guys -x-

To be honest it looks like your friend will have to go back to the CAB, who will no doubt be in the best place to advise.
On the face of it she looks to have a great case so she could keep going and not give in.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0 -
When you say she received her letter, what letter did she receive.
The trouble is, the CAB is just for advice. Can she prove the unfair dismissal0 -
She doen't care about the dismissal - she just wants her wages. They sent her a letter saying that she was dismissed and the so called reasons. it said she would receive her final wages and P45. P45 came though but no wages. The letter was dated way back in August the 14th but no luck.Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

But if it was proved she was unfairly dismissed someone must have proved the point. This is why I asked.
Send a recorded letter stating unless the payment is with her withing 14 days you will start court proceedings.0 -
I want her to do that but she wants something to back it up. I know that some where there must be a law to state they must pay and within a certain time but I have no idea what or where :S
As for the dismissal - I am still asking her to do something about it but she refuses.Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

Surely her contract would state her payment term i.e. last Friday in the month or whatever.
Here is a link to Acas website for unfair dismissal.Today is the first day of the rest of your life0 -
She was in the company for 5 months and so was on probation and never signed a contract. She used to get paid on the 26th of each month (give or take a day either way) but her last wage never came. They keep syaing they are investigating the issue (whatever thats means) but no luck.
I just called her and asked about unfair dismissal but she said she was leaving anyway and looking for a new job (the reason i think they sacked her). It was too much stress for the pay and she just wants her money and to move on. Stubborn little moo cow.Debts: Gym £[strike]465.75[/strike] Student account [strike]£1039.88[/strike] Overdraft [strike]£129.00[/strike] Credit Card [strike]£2772.22[/strike] Loan [strike]£6222.01 [/strike]

The certain time will be in the letter you send them,
Don't back out of the court proceeding though.Follow it through.0 -

If she had the P45, what figure did it indicate for her total pay in that employment? Did that include the final amount due to her or just the pay up to the end of July? How much is she owed? Ten days plus holiday or ten days less holiday taken over what had accrued?0
