The Babushka Inheritance tells the story of 15-year-old Nick whose life suddenly becomes very strange indeed. Not only is he haunted by the ghostly appearances of a friend who changed schools a few months earlier, but his life-long closest friend, confidante and secret love, Natalie, dies suddenly from a mystery illness... and he starts finding messages left by her in the kind of places where only he would look.
Her loss turns his world upside down - not simply because she was the only other person who knew of his miraculous gift of healing, but because her sinister relatives hurl him into a dark and ruthless world, one where his life hangs by a thread and danger lurks in every shadow. He soon finds that his future lies buried deep in the past, where nothing is as it seems, no-one can be trusted, and the person who may have betrayed him the most is the one who means more to him than life itself.
With an unlikely group of friends Nick steps between times to try and save the love of his life, unravel the secrets of his own existence, bring down a ruthless dynasty and destroy the evil world built around him...but to do so means finding out how high the price of love can be - and if it’s one he’s prepared to pay.
