TBH my reaction would be to bin it!! If you have had a couple of years wear out of it, surely that's enough.
I know you said you don't want compensation, but it's probably not worth the effort of pursuing it at all IMHO.0 -

Sure does. I've had a pure cotton shirt literally disintegrate in front of my eyes, whilst ironing it :eek: (Ralph Lauren, I might add :mad: )
The fibres just disappeared - or that's how it looked.
Since then I've never used Fab Con and never had the problem repeated.
I know many will tell you they use Fab Con all the time and have never had this problem ... perhaps it's a certain combination of Fab Con and detergent
Or certain fabrics? But someone told me that Fab Con can rot and it seems I've had that problem
