HSBC cash machine

Hello

I withdraw some money from hsbc machine and after that it was asking to apply for the credit card on the screen, i was using my halifax debit card.

How does it work, how do they check salary information, dob information. ? has any one applied any card like that.

Most/all banks cash machines display advertising on the screen, either while you're waiting for the money to be counted or between customers. Was this what you saw or was it actually telling you to press a key to apply? I'd assume though that if you did select to apply, it would print a slip with some details but you'd have to go to a personal banker to actually complete an application.
