Virgin Holidays - will they haggle?

Hi all,
Am on the verge of booking a holiday with Virgin holidays for ~£3500 for two of us for 10 nights in cape town (with other bits)....
Will Virgin accept 'offers' on this? I usually am not one for haggling but this time it's so much money that I can't help but think I'll be sore after buying when people tell me I should have haggled!
Cheers

Virgin are pretty much automated, so unless they are price matching a competitors quote (proof of which you'll need to send), the staff will not be able to do anything. Why don't you take their quote and put it in the hands of a competitor (try a smaller AITO Tour Operator) and see what they can do? Worse thing they can do is say no!0 -
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0

they just had 10% off Virgin holidays online in this last week, its down to 5% now0 -
We have always managed to get a discount with virgin direct between 5%-10%, if this doesn't work phone your local travel agents pick 4-5 give them the details of the holiday and see what the best price they can do.
One of my best friends is a travel agent and she always gets a list at the start of each week from head office telling her the maximum discounts she gave give with each tour operator. Its worth a try £3500 is quite a big booking I'm sure you'll get some money off that
Good luck0 -
theres quidco cashback on this, IIRC its 5% Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0
