Whats wrong with selling them? We live in a capitalist society. No-one's forcing anyone to go or bid.0 -
Has anyone ever had their ID checked?
I've been kindly given someones unwanted ticket but their name makes it a bit obviouse its not me - do you think I will have a problem??
i don't know of anyone who has had their id checked (myself included). On the off chance they do - you could just say they were given to you by friends who couldn't attend. But they are pretty laid back up there. It won't be a problem.

Well, to a point I agree with you - I think if you bought a ticket, then could not use it for some reason, it makes sense to try and sell it on and recoup at least some of your losses.
But - I think it shows a real meaness of spirit to acquire free tickets (from any source), which were probably given to you as an act of generosity, only to sell them for profit yourself.
In this situation, ask yourself this 'how would the person who gave these tickets to me feel, if they knew I was going to sell them on?' Your honest answer to this question will probably point you in the right direction.
Sometimes it's more important to do the 'decent' thing, and help someone out, rather than to 'make money' - no matter how hard up you are (although in my experience the poorest people I know are almost always the most generous).
My family are on a very limited income, but we managed to get tickets to see this show. My sister and nephew could not come with us, due to illness. But due to the generosity of someone on this site, who gave us 2 tickets, they will go tonight. They could never have afforded it otherwise, and are extremely grateful to the MS who donated the tickets - who could also have sold them on. We are so glad she did not. Please try to remember, 'What goes around, comes around'.
I know it's hard, especially if you have money worries - but there should be more to life - and that should include all the kindnesses we can show to others along the way.
I've just read through this, and it sounds like I'm having a bit of a rant. Sorry, I'm not meaning to, it just sometimes seems that way in print.

You may not get tickets to nearer the time, it all depends on the ticket allocation, and depending on how many seats are sold for that evenings show..... if there are lots of empty seats for that show then they will allocate some free seats ( to fill the audience!!) Remember if you get tickets, go early and ask for tickets in block G or block F (front of stage)....... I got tickets for last sats show at 12.26pm, the show started at 3pm same day.... so couldnt get there myself due to living too far away and needing a little more time!......... but keep a look out for your tickets.... its a really good show and well worth going to see if you get some tickets...... good luck in receiving tickets........0
