Quark xpress 7 and Vista help needed (aaargh!!!)

Evening everyone :wave: this is the first time I'm been on the techie board, so bear with me!!

I have just got a new Dell computer with Vista installed on it as part of the package
When I try to load up the latest version of Quark Xpress 7 the computer says no....Well actually it says can only use with XP.....!
Does anyone know of a patch or upgrade available that I can install to make Visita and Quark compatible.
So annoyed at the moment I feel like sending Bill blooming Gates an invoice for a new version of XP.! And ramming Vista up his.......well I am a laydeee!:rolleyes:
Thanks everyone in advance for your help - and if I do bill Microsoft I will let you know on here..nothing like having a laugh at one of the richest geeks in the world is there?

have you tried installing using compatability mode and choosing XP ??

Hmm so it's Microsoft's fault that Qaurk can't be bothered to release a version that runs on Vista, even though it's been out for a year?

Anyway, does anything here help?

Picking up an old post here. I've got the same issue after finally conceding to switch to VistaI tried the quark employee suggestion. I get a message saying version 7 product not installed so can't update. Doh! Of course its not installed I can't can I?!!! I'm going back to my simple straightforward intelligently written shareware to do my job, Quark is just there to win the commissions on my CV!

I don't think you're meant to use the updater. You need the full installer of version 7.02 or later.
