using other peoples user names

Is it possible to use other people's user names and post under it on forums?

Not that I want to do it, but I wondered if it is possible, because I am suspicious of a user on another forum.

    Also be aware that on this site, unlike most others, capitalisation counts.
    I note that there are users named !!!!!! and !!!!!!. Nothing to do with me (!!!!!!)

    Unless the OP logged in on the PC of the 'suspicious' person at some time in the past and clicked(or the default position was) 'remember me on this computer'.

    For instance my son accessed a website he uses on my PC, and didn't log out. Until I logged out for him I could have posted under his name.

    That is one of Operas most useful but at the same time most worrying abilities.

    The Magic Wand feature remembers all my passwords so I can post on all the forums I visit with a single click of my mouse.

    If some thieving swine pilfered my PC, they could easily assume my identity on a couple of dozen forums I visit.

    They could even get half way into my online banking too (not quite all the way in (so to speak!!) but passed the first hurdle.
