Yes I agree although I won't be buying one !! I can't imagine how it can be called an electronic safe if it's made of plastic though !!

  • I collected mine from the Post Office yesterday and am actually quite pleased with it!

I've transferred all of the larger coins in to it, which it counts as you push them through the slot. You have to be careful with this as it measures the height of the coin - so beware of errors from over enthusiastic slotting. REAL!1314 is also right that it doesn't physically count the notes. You tell the safe (through the keypad) that you are depositing notes and the value of them, it then allows you to open the door and put them in.

It isn't a security safe by any means. It's made of double-skinned plastic, and the door could easily be forced I'm sure. I'm equally sure that only a fool would house something genuinely irreplaceably valuable in it (those are in the floor safe!). If you wanted to you could drill though and attach it to a cupboard etc. but I won't be bothering.

The best features on this are the money saving targets. You can set an amount you want to save, and a time you want to achieve that. As long as you are disciplined with deposits and withdrawals, it will tell you how much you have saved and how long until your target date expires.

All in all, despite the people who have rubbished this item I am very happy with it for the £7.50 I spent on it.
