Electronic safe which doubles as a money box
Can only be operated with the security card
Ideal for jewellery, keys and other valuable possessions
Create your own pin combination and change it whenever you want
3 internal storage trays
Sounds when door is opened and buttons are operated
Coin and note counting feature
Money withdrawal and check balance buttons
Facility to set a savings target
Time and date display
Dimensions: 20(w) x 14(d) x 24(h)cm
Requires 3 x AA batteries

The kicker with this, is that they have a postage offer where you can order a specific item from a selection which has a 'free postage' discount along with it. I picked one of the cheapest items I could make use of (£5.99) rationalising the fact that I still reduce the bill by £2.99.

After changing my mind and removing it though, I retained the discount code which was showing in my basket, so still benefitted from the postage discount.

My final bill was £7.98 INCLUDING delivery. :j

Well worth a punt so that I am no longer collecting my coins in an old jar and having to guess/count everytime I want to know how much I have!

Hope this is useful to someone, I'm certainly looking forward to receiving mine!

    too small
not gonna fit much in this
  • Surely 'too small' is all relative to what you want to keep in it?
I'll be keeping cash in mine, so the dimensions are plenty big enough for that.

Granted I won't be able to keep any gold bullion or priceless artifacts in it, but then why would you have that in the house...?

it's a plastic toy safe, not a proper security safe. one of my kids has a pink one.
and it can't really count notes, and does coins by the width of the coin afaik, so anything of the same width would be counted - buttons, tokens, etc.

I'm after something "moderately secure" to keep all my spare keys in. This looks like it could do the job.
    Thanks
  • OK, so I am using it to keep coins in, rather than a jar as it is a little more interesting.

I realise that this represents a false economy (paying for something to keep your savings in!), but take it for what it is; a reasonably price safe in which you can store things that you may not want left accessible to the world.
  • Noticed that sainsbury's have a metal safe for £14.99 looks good quality and it should be thirty, my daughter has the type above and the money gets stuck and its difficult to open at times. I wanted to get her this one but if she dropped it on herself it would be dangerous as it is not a toy
