complaining about BT

Who do I contact about a complaint I have with BT I am getting nowhere with them and I want to take the complaint further, I have been trying for 6 months + to set up a direct debit with them and it hasnt happened and they are charging me for not paying my bills by direct debit!:confused:

    If this is the way they act in this instance how do you think they will act with any future problems concerning the direct debit?

    Have you established that the fault is not at your bank? We had problems with our Abbey account when we moved recently, they simply would not set up any new direct debits (they still won't) regardless of how many times they were requested from several different companies. They couldn't offer any explanation, we got fed up and moved our account to Nationwide. We've had absolutely no problems with DD since.

    If you're sure it's the fault of BT, my SIL works for them for her sins and when I had reason to complain about taking an age to set up our line in our new home, she gave me the details below. I got a staifactory response and a refund of call charges as I had to keep calling them on my mobile :eek: .
