Hotel/BB/PUB accom needed in North West

Hi
I am looking to book a nice Hotel/B& B or pub with accom somewhere in the North West. Ideally round Lancashire/Merseyside/Cheshire.
Not bothered where - but need somewhere we can take a baby and possibly sit and have a drink/food and relax.
We sometimes stay at Owd Nells/Guys Lodgings in Billsborow near Preston - but the last couple of times have found it quite noisy.
Any suggestions????
