Humax 9200 Free view playback 2 SOFTWARE upgrade - IS BEING BROADCAST ALL OF THIS WEEK
UPDATE NEWS
As promised before Christmas I am writing to confirm that we are currently running a "free" over the air update broadcast for the 9200 series of PVRs. This update will upgrade all existing PVR9200T/ TS / TB & PVR9200T-G models to the free view playback 2 specification and enhance the current functionality with new features like Series Recording / Alternate Recordings / Split Recordings. Full details of these features are available from www.humaxdigital.co.uk/update.
You need do nothing to receive this free update as the PVR-9200T will automatically detect this update at 4am during the period of the 14th to the 21st of January 2008. If the unit is left in standby at this time you will automatically receive this update for installation. If you wish to manually perform this upgrade please check the following for instructions Manual Install as you will be able to manually run this update yourself at anytime between 11am on the 14th of January until 9am on the 21st of January.
A repeat download for this update is already booked for the 13th to the 15th of February for anyone who misses this first broadcast and future repeats will also be booked and the dates announced here .
NOTE 1: After receiving this download and installing the update you will be required to perform a "Default Setting" of the PVR through the installation menu, and full instructions for this are on the following link. Default Setting.
NOTE 2: Performing the "Default Setting" at the end of the upgrade installation does not delete anything already recorded on the unit. It does however delete the forward looking schedule (programmes you have planned to record in the future) so this will need to be input again.

Ours was updated by the time I switched it on to record something the other day. Series recording been working fine over last 2/3 days. I had been wondering when they were going to put that feature in."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

My daughter has a habit of leaving hers on during night I set up so that it turns off at 3 am and comes on at 3.15 pm to populate the EPG. If a recording is on at 3.15 am would that over ride the auto turn off, does anyone know?
Shes terrible at leaving things on0 -

I imagine it would, but if it was smart only for the duration of the recording and then switch off but never tried it myself."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I'm confused why you shut it down for 15 minutes, the EPG is permanently populated and updated whilst it is switched on. Turning it off for the 15 minutes clears the EPG then it has to start again.
Also going into standby doesn't affect recordings, they just continue as they would if the machine was in standby when the recording started0 -
Sorry I meant 3.15pm to turn on to populate EPG and 3.15am to turn off0
