I just need to vent because Im tired and very grumpy thanks to Eon again.
I live in a quiet street that ends in a cul de sac. Next door but one to me is the little electricity station that has a small drive and a concrete barrier to prevent you driving into it....or at least it did.
Many years ago an Eon driver (or whatever it was called then) lived around the corner with his parents, he bought his lorry home at night, removed the barrier and parked the lorry in the substation. No problems until he left for work at 6am and would sit revving his lorry..... After a year or two he moved out and peace reigned.
Then he got divorced and moved back home to Mum....
2am this morning there are 2 Eon lorries, both engines running while they remove one from the substation drive and replace it with another. The lad from round the corner is standing at the end of my drive shouting to his mate who is reversing the other lorry. His mate finishes, and they then proceed to have a half hour conversation at the end of my drive, under my bedroom window, while this ruddy great truck sits there with its engine running.
In the end he managed to wake up the entire family, including my DD and probably the rest of the street. Hence why Im tired, ratty and ready to thump Eon driver.
Is he supposed to be bringing this lorry home to a residential area every night? His 6am starts are beginning to wear thin as well
Rant over.

So your rant is really at your neighbour than at eon then!
Don't suppose there is much you can do about the revving if he has to be at work and has to take the lorry etc- dont know if anyone else has better advice0 -
It's unlikely you're the only family affected by this noise blight.
Contact other neighbours for their reaction, then collectively contact your Local Authority and ask to speak to an Environmental Health officer.
The overnight parking of HGVs is strictly controlled by planning law, which is why you won't see a Truck Stop located in the midst of suburban streets.0 -
It's surely quicker to contact Eon? EHO will send out a time-sheet and then ask you to log noise for 6 weeks on it and then they'l look into it.It aint over til I've done singing....0

Take the lorry registration number, and report it directly to Eon. If they won't do anything, contact Environmental health.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
