  • If you want good suncover, I get PB20 from Boots its a high factor but you only add it once a day for full protection.
Its about £20 a bottle but you put it on the children 1 hour before you go in the sun then thats it waterproof and sun proof, works everytime for my lot. and suitable from tiny baby age

I have been to both Egypt and Morocco (Agadir) and I loved them both, although there was more to do in Morocco, its very cheap out there and all places are family friendly.
Also if you are going to Sharm you don’t have to get a visa if you do not leave the area of the Sinai, the link shows a map but I don’t know how to shrink it lol.

I phoned the consulate before I traveled who confirmed I didn’t need a visa and after a little argument with the commission earning rep the other side they confirmed it.
    I hope that helps
Hi, i plan to go to Morocco in the summer with the children, any advice and whats the food like!:D
    Thanks
  • Hi,
Lucky you I love it there, the food is fantastic lots of little places to eat all scattered about. there where 5 of us and it used to cost about £20 (total)for a decent 2 course meal.
Dont be fooled by the more expensive places I never once got a dicky tummy and the children where fine. I recomend the fresh OJ they squeeze it there and then its devine. Also Tomato soup will make your mouth water.
Also dont be put off by all the cats that hang around cafes ect the owners tend to feed them a lot after closing and they are very tame animals LOL.
They do lots of Bugers and chip type meals so the children dont go hungry although mine loved the food out there, its cooked over long periods of time and flavoured not hot and spicy, Cous Cous never tasted better and chicken Tangine just tummy tummy lol.
If you want to try something special I can recomend a Berber night its traditional living with food and entertainment, that you join in with dancing and games my children loved it. Also a long Camel treck is a must through the mini sahara shop around for prices its quiet cheap and worth every penny. BUT A WARNING they will provid a small bottle of drink decline make sure you have your own as once you have drank the free drink it becomes something you have to pay for and its not cheap.
Also if people offer to take your photos on their camels or horses that are not part of your tour politely decline again this will cost you money afterwards.
Doughnuts sold on the beach are the best food you will ever eat but haggle them down in price LOL
The one thing you will find is a few beggers old, cripple and mums with young children, They do not hassle you in the tourist area's (although at the Souk be prepared for lots more beggers) Always carry a small amount of change with you and 5p to us is a meal to them.
Moroccan tea is very very nice and doesnt taste like tea but is very refreshing on a hot night.
taxis are very cheap but agree a price before you go anywhere, your hotel staff will give you a good idea on price, and haggling is a way of life out there and lots of fun.
Not to mention the brand names I have a fab Dior sadlebag for £20 100% Moroccan
but identical to the real £780 Dior.
FINAL WARNING if you are taking children warn them that they are not to except anything the food sellers walk around and then they will tell you "I make gift for your beautiful children" after the 1st bite or the child loves it they then hand you a silly large bill!!! However dont let this put you off I found to Morocans just the most beautiful people they love children and will stroke their hair and play with them while you shop so warn the kids not to be alarmed lol

Sorry waffled on a bit could go on for hours lol
Im quiet envious of your holiday now ive reminised LOL

Also If you havent booked your flight I got a really good deal with BA then booked hotel and got a plane old taxi to the hotel which cost pennys.
