CAR GIANT - any good?
Comments

I rang them with a query once, and found them very abrupt and offish. A real take it or leave it attitude. I bet if you had a problem with a car you'd bought you'd get nowhere with them.0

I helped someone to buy a car from them years ago. They have a big selection as you know, but their prices are high. I would source a car privately which will be significantly cheaper.0

do you really think their prices are higher? I have looked at MPV's in autotrader and they cant seem to match Car Giant price? maybe i will have another look.0 -
i bought my c200 merc there 3 years ago, no problems, collection is a bit complicated, with various stages, paying, getting keys etc, etc, but the car is fine, much cheaper than elswhere. if you want a warrantee get one online rather than the one they offer.0

hmm. dunno about same prices as main dealer, the same spec, year MB C200 was at least £3k more at all the dealers i checked. maybe for the no brainer golf market, but they are without doubt cheaper for saabs, bmw's , mercs etc.0

I've just bought a Citroen Picasso for over £700 less than my local dealers price, went through https://www.broker4cars.co.uk . They connected me to a different Citroen dealer and everything went smoothly.0

First,if you do phone get the geographical number from www.saynoto0870.com also try 'Unverified' on the site
Their number is listed.Another one to try is www.trade-sales.co.uk based
in Slough.Their number is (01753)773763.I have updated the geo website today.
If you like a car on their website they may hold it for you.Mine was held for about two hours(by the manager)and also I spotted a crack in the rear lens. They removed the charge that they add.You will be offered a warranty insurance but you can do better. In any case if it's UK spec you may still have some warranty.Expect a few hours before you can collect. They say this is to prepare the car and probably to check out your payment and you.My logbook was sent on to me.You will be able to test drive the vehicle.Don't be rushed when you take it out with a salesman.Make sure the temperature gauge doesn't run into the red, check for unsual noises and leaks etc.......
As for trade sales, some months ago they marked up some of their 54 plated
diesel Zafiras at an incorrect price of £9299.This was approx £1000-1200
lower than what they should have been.Even now on their website they are £9999.The salesman confirmed they made a mistake with the price shown. Some of their cars show just 1000 miles.
Lastly I forgot to mention....Try to study at least three car buying guides and
the internet for prices on your chosen vehicle. As prices do change up and down the country(why do you think cars are transported from all over the country to London?)Get a good idea before you jump in to that what seems a
great deal. You may want to go North on a cheap flight -just to save £1500 more....0
