Should I cancel MINT card?

I've been tarting my cards since the end of 2006, I originally had a HSBC card and transfered this to a Mint cand (which is run by the Royal Bank of Scotland), this ran out is August 2007 and I transferred it to a A&L card (which is run by MBNA) & will run out August 2008. I will then have to transfer to another card.
What I wanted to know is it is better to cancel the Mint card or not? Will that help or hinder my credit rating?
Thanks for any advice.

Cancelling the card will reduce your 'available credit' on your credit file.
If you keep it, it won't stop you getting new cards, but it may reduce the credit limit you're offered.Dave. :wave:0 -
I can't see me using it again, so would the best thing be to cancel it - allowing me more credit on the next card I take out?
Also if I don't cancel it will it somehow stop me being able balance transfer to any other RBOS I might take out?
Just trying to get my head round it a bit. Thanks0 -

That's the theory, yes. Also if I don't cancel it will it somehow stop me being able balance transfer to any other RBOS I might take out?
Only if you were trying to BT from the Mint card. It shouldn't effect a BT from a non RBS card.Dave. :wave:0
