can i recover my deposit?

4 months ago i bought a policy from warranty direct for my wife's car..at that time the sales man convinced me also to pay £25 to get the same quote for a policy for my car starting in march 2008(when manufacturer warranty ends)... last month we made claim on my wife's policy and they refused to pay:mad: (typical ...they always have a getout clause) so we cancelled the policy. my question is can i recover the £25 i paid for the other policy considering that it has not started yet?
