NCB query

I have two cars - one for work and a classic mini. One my main car I have 5 years protected NCB, and have claimed once in the last two years when my car was broken into.
The mini I had an accident in just after Christmas and my insurance on that paid out.
Where do I stand when my renewal comes up for my main car if I want to shop around - I will have a certificate for the 5 years NCB, but most insurers ask about accidents in the last five years - how does this affect my NCB if the accident was in a differnet car and a different policy ?

You must declare ALL losses regardless of where the vehicles are insured. The new insurers will decide what NCB they will offer you.0

That's what I thought. Thanks0
