Can't really answer without knowing what type of heaters you have at the moment, or what electric tariff you are on. However, storage heaters usually run on a seperate tariff from your domestic lights/sockets and the supply to the storage heaters is usually not a 24 hour supply, usually the storage heaters are timed at the meter to come on/off a certain times or you may have a radio teleswitch meter which would receive a signal from your electric supplier telling the heating to come on and off, so if you wire in those new heaters which I assume are not storage to the existing electrical supply, then you may only get heat when your storage heaters would have been on. To complicate things further, if you have non storage panel heaters these should be fine to replace as they as they are probably on a 24 hour supply so will work ok. You will prob have 2 rates for your electric, one for your heating and possibly hot water which will be a cheap rate like economy7 etc and a seperate rate for your lichts/sockets.
Above all else, make sure you consult a qualified electrician! rewiring heating is NOT a job for an amatuer. Electricity can KILL and start FIRES0
