Our modem went kaput last Tuesday and it has taken 9 days, 15 telephone calls, blatant lies from 4 Virgin Media staff - including being told by a member of their customer sercives department that Parcel Force don't deliver on Mondays' - and a letter to Mr Trevor Elliot, Customer Services Director and I am finally back online this evening! And have a spare modem and power pack as they sent 2!!!!!!!
As my letter only went to Mr Elliot I will await his reply with baited breath

I come on here intending to vent my wrath against the prats i/c Virgin Media, not least the gruesome Branson, and I see your thread topping the board!
My own complaint is regarding the dreadful cable TV service they're currently 'providing' and in particular the grotesque performance of their On Demand facility.
My set top box, as supplied by them, seems to be the invention of Martians on drugs. If it works properly for two days in a row, I'm lucky. I don't know how many times I've complained via the 150 number but all I get is obfuscation and apology in a barely understandable accent and a totally unacceptable time delay.
They've arranged for an engineer to come out next week. If he doesn't resolve the problem, that's it, they can cart the whole lot away and I shall go over simply to Freeview. After all, I'm hardly getting anything better, am I?0
