Hi
Looking to stop smoking. Decided that I want to give the Allen Carr session a go, but at £195.00 I wondered if there was anything around that would reduce this cost - or perhaps someone has been one a similar course that is cheaper?
TIA

All I can say is that my dad was a 50 a day roll up smoker and went to an allen carr meeting 10 years ago he has never smoked since.
If anyone does find it cheaper then I will give it a go I have no willpower.0 -
I've got a sneaky feeling that there's something about his courses (whether it's just an advert rather than a voucher) in the back of his book about giving up smoking. I've got a copy at home and will have a look this evening. Perhaps if someone has got a copy they can let us know earlier.0

Had a look and you can recover the cost of the book (£7.99 on the back cover) if you go on one of the courses.
Not moneysaving per se (because at some stage I shelled out for the book) but hey.0 -
The course also has a money back guarentee. If you don't stop you get your money back, or have another session for free.
I've got the book and am tempted to go to the meeting. I'd only have to stop for 3 month to recover the costs. What's stopping me?

Funckmaster,
How long and how much have you been smoking? You must come back and tell me how it went. If you come back positively i will definately book it. When you going?

HelloFunkmaster
Please do tell us how you got on. A friend of a friend has just done it and says it is amazing. Deff going to book in, just wanted to hear some more positive feedback before I do....0 -
I read the book during the first week of january 2003 and haven't smoked since. I will just add though that I was very very determined about stopping and the book helped with that, rather that initiated it. best of luck - never stop stopping.Blah0

Hi
Just looked on thread - hadn't realised there had been any more replies.
We're both booked in for Sat 22nd January at the Novotel Worsley, Manchester.
The book can be found on Amazon (I don't know if this is the cheapest way to buy the book).
The course (for Manchester area) can be found at https://www.easywaymanchester.co.uk The cost is £195.00 - you get the price of the book back (RRP £7.99)
I shall report back here when I've been. Apparently it involves a 5 hour session (with smoking breaks every 40 mins) with 15 minutes of hypnotherapy at the end.
Spoke to someone the other night who said it had worked for him. Also got chatting with someone who had been to a hypnotherapist/hypnotist who had charged him £30.00 for 30 mins and he hasn't smoked since.
Cheers
Jon
