Should i do this?
Hello Everyone
I have a quick question for you.
Here we go
My mum is an OAP an qualifies for free central heating and insulation installed by scottish gas through a scheme they run. If you know anyone who could benifit from this ask them to call this number. 01317772501 they may benifit from the scheme.
Anyway back to my question.
My mum applied for this heating scheme but because we are 43 meters from the gas main cut off point for free install is 23 meters we were quoted £8500 to have gas installed into the house, Oil was quoted at £3500 but we were offered total heating for free.
TBH we would not really want total heating due to running costs. However our local council have setup a heating system which runs off the hot water produced by the local whisky distillary. This would be £3050 to install and around £9.00 a week for all hot water and heating. This will eventually run on a gasisifed wood burning plant.
My question is would it be wrong for me to say yes to install the total heating system leave it in for 6 months until i have the rest of the install costs for the local heating system. Then to take the total heating system and install it into my parteners property which is in the process of being renovated and needs central heating?
Hope this doesnt make me sound bad
Thanks

Are you asking for advice about how to steal or dishonestly acquire a heating system?

I apologise if I have misunderstood, but that is how it reads to me.
It is your Mum who qualifies for a free heating system, not your partner.0 -
No i wouldnt say i am looking to steal or dishonestly aquire a heating system, My mum needs a heating system installed she only qualifys for total heating at the moment which would suffice but she does not really want due to running costs being very high and her on a pension.
The total heating system would have to be taken out when i have enough money to install the preffered system into her property which she would be able to run on a pension as the costs are a lot lower.
My partner also needs a heating system installed which would have to be rewired etc at extra costs i saw it as a win win situation. Mum gets the heating she wants in a year or so and the heating system goes to good use in a another house.0
