Old Premium Bonds?

Hello all.
I have some Premium Bonds dating from the 1950's.
My question is, does "Ernie" still have these early numbers in the database, as in all this time I have not had a win (I know the odds of a win). I just get the feeling that these early numbers have been lost in the sands of time.
Thanks,
Chris.

Why not chuck the numbers into the result checker as see what it say's ??
By the way, do N.S.& I. know your current address etc. ??'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
Done that, that's why I asked the question.
Thanks anyway.

It's the Bond 'holder number' you need .... and, if you've got one of those it's odds on your Bonds are correctly recorded under it.
If in doubt you can write to them and check. Address on their site adjacent to the checking facility. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Yes without a doubt. If you have a small holding it's perfectly normal that you've never won, the odds are low.
See: http://www.nsandi.com/help/aremyoldbondsstillva.jsp
And make sure your address is up-to-date as Mikeyorks says, contact details at: http://www.nsandi.com/contact/index.jsp0 -
Myself and my wife have had premium bonds for 40 odd years and never won a thing. Several kids in our family who have been given similar amounts have won in recent years giving strength to my own worries about the system.
Then my own daughter just won £50. I'm sure there is a problem with Ernie getting forgetful in his old age.0 -

How many do you hold?
As long as your holder details are up-to-date so they can contact you, then you will have no problems. They are still in the draw.
It's random, so just because someone has held them for 40+ years (obviously only a small holding), and hasn't won, and someone else has, proves this randomness. The odds are low as I said above in January...
For someone to win, many others have to "lose" it's how the odds work.
My grandma held a few hundred since PBs were first released inception and never won a penny. It's the luck of the draw.
If you are that bothered, take them out (waste 1-2 months of chances) and buy them again, but you won't have changed your odds, just made them worse by having the money out of the draw.0
