Looking for a template letter...
Options
Hello
Being fairly new to the world of driving, and having had my first scrape (already!), I wondered if anyone could help me.
In short, I moved away too fast and clipped someone's car, for which I have obviously taken responsibility, and agreed to pay for the damage. My friend (whose car I was driving at the time) has organised the repairs through a friend's garage, and these have now been completed.
So my question is this: does anyone know of if there is any kind of template letter that I can send to the owner of the other car stating that the repairs have been made, and paid for, and if we don't hear from him in 21 days, we will consider the matter closed? You know, like a full and final settlement, so that there can be no comeback?
Thanks in advance (and apologies of this is a bit garbled!)

I would simply write what has been done to the car to repair it and state that if the other party is satisfied with the repair he should sign the paper to say so,you could also sign it and both keep a copy.Have it witnessed if you want to.I asume the damage was not too serious,so if the repairs have been done to a good standard, the other party should have no problem complying with your requirements.
You may be beter meeting, so it can be sorted then, rather than sending letters to each other. There are two sides to every story.
