    Yep choc_mouse, those are pretty much the figures I was working on - glad you came to same result!

    Only thing I'd point out is that whilst 1 in 42 billion is long odds, 1 in 14 million isn't exactly a sure bet. Putting it in perspective, if you played once a week at those odds you would expect to win the jackpot on average about once every 270,000 years.

    Clearly, buying individual Premium Bonds instead of Lottery tickets with the sole aim of winning the jackpot is a daft prospect - but that's not the point of P.B.s - they're just investment with a twist.
