Oh wow you are so lucky vale. We honeymooned in Mauritius in July 1996, and stayed at the sister hotel to Le Tousserok, La Pirogue. As part of our package we were able to spend the last 3 nights of our stay at Le Tousserok - and it was out of this world. La Pirogue was fab, but Le Tousserok just took my breath away for the sheer luxury. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty - gonged on arrival, beds pulled back at night with rose petals placed in the shape of a heart on the sheets, ferried by speedboat to private Island Ilot Mangenie (sic) where we were the only one of 3 couples. The other island, Il aux cerfs was where all the watersports took place. It was amazing! It was not at all stuffy - quite the opposite - they go so far out of their way to make sure you are happy.

The only trip I would recommend is the waterfalls trip - which was organised by the hotel (Tousserok). Whilst at Pirogue we hired a taxi for the day (through the hotel), who took us to all the sights on the island for £10, pamplemousse gardens (giants lily pads) Port Louis (an experience not to be missed - the meat market is something else - you need a strong stomach) Gold outlet.

I am so envious - you will have a fabulous time. Next year is our 10th anniversary - would love to go back.
