Electrical Problem

Hi, I hope someone here can give me a bit of advice.

This morning we seem to have problems with our electrics. Our day started with our clock radio not working properly, then our boiler, toaster and TV not coming on (although the light flickers on the TV.) Our Sky box on the same circuit is fine.

Everything else is working as normal although things like my hairdryer don't appear to be as powerful as usual. The circuit box hasn't tripped any switches either.

I will hopefully get someone in to look at it today but I don't want to appear like I know absolutely nothing about electrics - which I don't!

Any suggestions on what our problem may be?

Strange one, we had the same problem a month or so ago, ours was a problem with the electricity board though as they were having an issue at the local substation..... everything seemed to work at half power and things like the cooker wouldnt work at all, it uses a lot more power I presume..

Have your neighbours got any of the same problems ?

Thanks Startrekker - it was a prolem with the substation and we are back to normal now
