Transfering too much?

in Credit cards
I recently made a successful application for RBS (9 months interest free BT). I put down the amounts owed on 3 of my cards.
Due to their poor office skills, my application will be taking a lot longer to go through. In the meantime, i have had to meet the minimum repayments on the other 3 cards.
Therefore, the amount I wanted to transfer is more than I actaully owe.
E.g Capital one I owed £400, requested to BT £400, I paid off £50 so now only owe £350
What will happen?

You will end up with £50 in credit on your Capital One card.
You can just spend on this card until the £50 runs out and wont get charged any interest.0 -
Hi
I would call RBS and ask them to wait until you activate the card before they do any balance transfers. That way you will know the exact amount.Worse case senario - you will end up with a credit on capital one. You could call them and ask them to refund it as a cheque.
Hope this helps0 -
I did ring RBS, very unhelpful. Since I don't OWN their card YET, they can't discuss any hypothetical BT.
I suppose having credit on the card is not that much of a problem. Will just have to spend it
Makes my card juggling/stoozing etc a bit more confusing lol. Still, my Saver is due to pay my interest in Aug (approx £700)0 -
Oh, thanks for the info btw0
