3 cards issued to me without signature

in Credit cards
On 23 November I was at East Midlands Airport on a 3 hour delay. Was asked to do a "survey". I was assured that it wasn't a credit application so agreed. On finishing I was asked to sign what was obviously a credit card agreement so refused. Yesterday I recieved my 3rd credit card from MBNA. I have a complaint being investigated (since December) and the Financial Ombudsman and OFT are aware of the situation. I think the moral is - if you give details in good faith but then refuse to sign, demand the form back -or better still, don't do surveys at airports no matter how bored you are!!!

Have you seen the MBNA guys doing "surveys" in Halfords now as well?

similar situation happened to my FIL at manchester united shop, old trafford.
he was asked some survey/questions and was offered a MUFC shirt for a tenner as a reward.
few weeks later a store card arrived at his home with 2.5k limit! he is retired!
he had no idea at all that he had applied for a card, in fact he didnt know what the card was even. took him ages to figure out what had happened.Get some gorm.0 -
My mother was a victim of that from a Sainsburys camping regular. She went back to the same place and after a 5 minute scuffle with the guy walked away with a caution from the police and blood everywhere. The guy has not been seen since.£8k to pay off before Jan 2011! Was 28k to pay off by Jan 2010 though so I'm happy

Why on earth would you give any personal data for a survey, HELLO!
