Train tickets

Is there a place to sell unwanted / unstamped / unused train tickets?

Sometimes I buy a ticket, take the journey and the tickets get unused/unchecked. I'm sure this happens to alot of people who get the feeling "I shouldn't have brought these".

sometimes the ticketperson doesn't even pass the trains to check you paid for your journey, but in my recent case yeah, a return.

as long as theres a decent time frame left on it, e.g, 1 month for 'open rtn' then id sell on ebay.

no. cos its illegal to resell train tickets in UK:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/eurostar-tickets.html

The sale of all UK train tickets (including Eurostar tickets) by unauthorised persons is not permitted under the railway byelaws, made under Section 129 of the Railways Act 1993. Therefore, unless you are an authorised seller as described below, you may not list train tickets on eBay.

eBay listings get pulled quickly because it is against the railway byelaws...

it is not illegal in the sense of breaking the law.

I think the best you can do is try to find some people who travel along the same railway routes as you and personally contact them when you have something for sale.

You could also try craigslist or smaller auction sites.

Surely that's fraud if you sell the ticket after you've actually 'used' it to do the journey .
