Virgin Credit card application - when did you hear ?

I applied for a Virgin credit card over a week ago and have heard nothing. How long are Virgin applications taking just now ? I can see that they did the credit check on the 22nd June and I am pretty sure the online system said you should hear in 7 days.

Me ? Impatient ? What do you mean ;)

It took over a week to get my decision - I phoned them up to chase after a week had passed.

Once you get your card, I would also recommend phoning them up again to get your BTs (from your application form) actioned - the rep started them whilst I was on the phone. Otherwise there could be a bit of a delay with these as well.

    Hi Clariman,

I applied online on the 19th and have heard nothing so far.

I'm also getting a little impatient (funny how we expect everything to be instant these days isn't it?) ;)

    Hi,

You can order a £2 credit report at Equifax or Experian.

Or, I suspect that Clariman has CreditExpert from Experian.

Searches of your credit file will be carried-out by potential lenders and these searches will be recorded.

As Richie guessed, I subscribe to Experian's creditexpert service which means that I can check my credit file online at anytime. As a stoozer I find it a very useful thing to have access too, but not entirely necessary. It just helps me keep tabs on my credit file.

When you get your reply, and agreement to sign - which will have your credit limit on, you could be waiting over 14 days to get your card.

Virgin received my agreement 15th Jun, but I still have not got my card. PIN arrived yesterday, so card must be imminent.

However, I phoned up chasing and requested to do my BT 20th Jun, no luck that time but on 24th no problem, and my BT arrived at my EGG today, just before my 0% anniversary ends tomorrow; so my stooze pot is safe.

Got mine today, it took around 10 days to arrive after I returned the signed credit agreement.

Immediately stoozed as much as I could to my current account, no transfer fee.
