Hiya,
I was wondering the cheapest way to get to London?
My best friend is in hospital and I want to visit, would only be for the day as I can't afford to stay over, and she is the only person I know in London and I can't stay with her IYSWIM.
Thank you in advance

Cheapest by far would be the mega bus but you would have to put up with 4 hoursish on a bus!!0

National Express Funfares? They start at £1 provided you book far in advance. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

If you want to travel tomorrow I can see fares of £49.50 return
You'd take the 08:28 East Midlands train to St Pancras (£28) arriving at 11:51, returning on the 21:30 National Express East Coast train from Kings Cross (£21.50) arriving 23:59
Book via https://www.nationalexpresseastcoast.com and pick the tickets up at the station using Fastticket
Note you need to book before 6:00pm to get cheap(er) fares otherwise you'd only be able to get the walk up fare0 -
Thank you everybody! I was in a bit of a panic so just looked at the first things that came up. I managed to get £16 return on National express for friday, i thought a coach would take a LOT longer which is why i was looking at trains.
Thank you
