precondition medical insurance

I have annual family holiday insurance but had a mild heart attack 3 years ago due to high cholestrol. This is now remedied, I am fit and well but travelling to USA for 2 weeks in July. I feel that I need to take out some cover just in case!
My insurance co will not cover me because I didn't have an operation (stent, bypass). Have tried other Cos, quoted £300 for 2 weeks cover!
Can anybody suggest any insurance Cos who may cover me for less than this?

there are threads on here for holida insurance with medical conditions got my fathers in laws for £51 for a week in spain with free spirt most other companys quotes came in as £700/ £300 /£250 /£80

Hi Reebok, Try Swinton my Missus and i have annual for £107 for the year and she had an angina attack about 5 years ago which they know about. I know she is over the Angina now but still has to take medication! other wise try Norwich union. Good Luck.
