Non-rubber "tough" toys

 I have a six month old english bull pup and he goes through toys like theres no tomorrow! (a dental chew toy lasted him approx. 3 minutes then he started eating it!!!). person at my local pet shop recommended Kong toys - problem is i am allergic to natural rubber latex, so anything containing rubber could seriously affect me. hence kongs are out.
Wonder if anyone could recommend an alternative for me to use to play with him???

In my local pet shop they've got these rawhide chews that are the length & width of my arm, would that work better?

Just done a quick Google, so haven't used them myself, but how about toys made from zogoflex, made by West Paw Design and mostly sold in the US, but available over here at Zoo Plus?
In 2004, the company developed what its calls a Zogoflex® material to compete with chew toys made from rubber and latex."We designed a latex-free, durable, recyclable product that is safe for pets and the environment,"

Thanks. got them already and he loves them, but just to sit and chew and eat. (saves my shoes though!). after more of a toy to play with him with, even "tough" tennis type balls have rubber on and in them (and he gets to the inside by tearing them open within a matter of minutes).
Only thing he doesnt destroy, ironically, is probably the easiest for him to destroy, a 3foot tall teddy he claimed off my daughter the first day we brought him home! he just loves old greebo to death and drags him everywhere!:rotfl:

my staffy is the same. Can destroy any toy within minutes but loves her cuddly toys. After a while she tears them up but especially loves ones with squeaks in them. I also give her pigs ears, trotters and bones to keep her occupied.

bamboo is a make of cloth nylon toys we use i have 2 bulldogs and a staffie.
i woud say a big no to raw hide and it is a big chocking danger.

raw bones are excellent straigth from the butchers not from the pet shop.

also my dogs love turkey legs raw or lamb shanks keeps them busy for a while and a meal in one.

Our vet advises against bones in any shape or form. They can splinter and shards that are swallowed may be sharp.

Raw bones are soft and don't splinter ;)

Nylabones are fabulous - they're the one thing apart from Kongs that my Staffie can't destroy in minutes. They're good for chewing.

If you're after a toy where you can play with your dog, however - what about one of those hard plastic 'arms' where you can scoop up a tennis ball without touching it (also a great invention if you have a particularly drooly dog) and with a flick of your arm send the tennis ball over quite a distance for chasing?
