Promoter
The promoter of the competitions on the https://www.imagineyourparadise.com is Hilton International (UK) Limited whose principal place of business in the United Kingdom is Maple Court, Central Park, Reeds Crescent, Watford, Hertfordshire WD24 4QQ (the "promoter").
Competition Period
The competition starts on 1st January 2008 and ends on 31st January 2008 (the "Closing Date").
If you complete the sections in the "comment on this article" form at https://www.imagineyourparadise.com/comment/reply/302#comment-form, including by ticking the box confirming that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions on or before the Closing Date you will be entered into the competition.
By submitting an entry, you agree that you have read and accept the promoter’s privacy policy and general website terms and conditions at https://www.imagineyourparadise.com/terms.
Entry
No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.
Only one entry may be made per person.
Anyone who registers their entry after 11.59pm on the Closing Date will not be eligible to enter the competition. All decisions regarding the competition including, but not limited to, winner selection, will be made by the promoter, whose decision shall be final and binding in all respects. No correspondence will be entered in to.
Eligibility
The competition is open to any person aged 18 or over on or before the Closing Date. The competition is only open to UK residents. The competition is not open to employees (or their relatives) of the promoter or any of its affiliates or associated companies (including Hilton Hotels Corporation) or anyone else professionally connected with this competition. By accepting these terms and conditions you confirm that you are eligible to enter the competition and that your entry into, and the promoter’s operation of, the competition is permitted by the local laws and regulations that you are subject to.
Entries that are deemed incomplete or corrupted by the promoter will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be accepted by the promoter (or its advertising and promotions agencies) for any entries which are corrupted or not received, including due to any error, defect or problem with the promoter's website or improper or inadequate use of the website. Proof of entry will not be accepted as proof that the promoter received your entry. Competition entries are the property of the promoter.
Competition Winner
The winner will be notified by email after 21 days following the Closing Date (the "Notification Date") and will be asked to provide his/her full name (for the for the purposes of clause 7 of these terms and conditions) and postal address (for delivery of the prize). It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the promoter of any change of its email and/or postal address.
The competition entries will be reviewed by an independent adjudicator. The adjudicator will select a winner based purely on their assessment of which participant has exercised the most skill to provide the most original answer. The adjudicator's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be selected no later than 21 days after the Closing Date.
The winner may be required to prove his/her identity and eligibility including, but not limited to, whether the winner is the authorised account holder of the email address used to enter the competition.
There is no cash alternative to the prize and prize may not be swapped with or substituted for other prize. The prize is personal to the winner and can not be transferred or assigned to any other person. The exact prize stated in paragraph 10 below may be changed at any time at the promoter’s discretion. An unclaimed prize may not be awarded. Payment of all applicable taxes and duties are the responsibility of the winner.
Modification, cancellation, termination or suspension
The competition may be modified, cancelled, terminated or suspended in whole or in part without prior notice for any reason (including, without limitation, computer virus, bugs, non-authorised human intervention, mechanical or electronic problems or other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the competition). However, in case of cancellation, termination or suspension, the prize will still be awarded. In the event of early termination of the competition, the prize will be awarded from among all eligible entries received up to and including the date on which the competition is terminated.
Awarding of Prize
By entering this competition, the winner consents to having his/her name and county of residence published in connection with the competition and agrees that the promoter may disclose the name of any winner on the promoter's website and in the Imagine newsletter sent in the month following the Closing Date and to any individual writing (including by email) and requesting the name of any winner.
Subject to the promoter obtaining the prior written consent of the competition winner, photographs of the competition winner may be used for promotional purposes.
Details of the competition winner may be obtained by sending a stamped self addressed envelope after the Notification Date to the promoter's address stated above, marked Hilton Imagine Competition.
Your Information
All registration data and information relating to you is subject to the promoter's privacy policy www.imagineyourparadise.com/terms.
In relation to your answer to the "question of the month" provided to the promoter to enter the competition ("Content"):

• you must own or have the right to submit Content for publication by the promoter (if the promoter so chooses);
• all Content submitted by you must be legal, honest, decent and truthful and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards or codes of practice;
• you must ensure that all Content submitted to the promoter does not infringe copyright, design, privacy, publicity, data protection, trade mark or any other rights of any third party, nor be obscene, abusive, threatening, libellous or defamatory of any person; and
• you must ensure that the Content does not advertise or otherwise solicit for funds or is a solicitation for goods or services.

You hereby grant the promoter a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty free, world-wide licence to publish all Content which you submit.
For the avoidance of doubt:

• the promoter has the right to monitor Content and may edit, reject or remove Content if it believes that the Content does not comply with the above requirements or is deemed by the promoter (in its absolute discretion) to be inappropriate; and
• the promoter is under no obligation to publish any Content you submit.

You have sole responsibility for the Content which you submit to the promoter and you shall indemnify and shall keep the promoter fully and effectively indemnified on demand from and against all actions, claims, losses, liability, proceedings, damages, costs, expenses, loss of business, loss of profits, business interruption and other pecuniary or consequential loss (including legal costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by the promoter and arising directly or indirectly out of the publication of Content submitted by you to the promoter.
Third Party Information and Prizes
Where content published in connection with the competition is supplied by third parties, you understand that the promoter does not control or endorse the third party’s content in any way. All such content which is offered by third parties that are not affiliated with or otherwise connected with the promoter, is published in good faith but the promoter does not in any circumstances accept responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of such content.
The promoter makes no representations whatsoever about any other websites which you may access through this website or which may link to this website.
