type of screws to use in a wall

I've got a metal corner bead to fix to the wall so that I can render the inner face of the window to fix the wooden window liner to.

I'm just wondering what would be the best screws to use to fix it firmly, shuold I use a zinc coated screw or a brass screw.?

I worried about corrosion of the screws or them reacting with the cement render within the wall and them effecting the finished windows. (ive been told that some screws will react and cause 'rust' marks or 'blow' the surface.)

Nothing, just plaster (not bonding, to coarse) you have around, tap it in and use a spirit level for the vericals. Using nails or screws will damage the wall you are going into (IYSWIM) it will just blow off the wall....

Just another quick question in relation to the above - in another part of the house there has been some movement between the outer wall of the house an internal brick wall. A builder friend recommended that I use the corner mesh to tie the walls together. Would fixing the mesh with plaster be strong enough or should I use screws?
