Hello,
Saw a lovely flat at £94,995 however the vendor is looking at least 10 to 15% over in offers..
What would be a reasonable offer? I keep losing in offers over!

Its typical Estate Agents when they cant be closed off to get the house off the market..0 -
I have no experience of buying in Scotland, but from what I know about the system it sounds like a nightmare.
You can often end up paying over the odds in both a rising and falling market.
It presents a classic situation for those two dominant emotions - greed and fear - to come out in people.
All i can say is just don't offer more than you should or can really afford.

Depends where you are (in Scotland)
What are other properties going for? Have you checked?
Do you know if there has been much interest in the place?
You can always bung in an offer with a closing date and if the vendor doesn't like it and doesn't accept then you have lost nothing and are still in the market.
Not unusual for properties in some places to be more than 30% over the asking price.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
The going rate in the area is 10 to 15% over. There are other 1bedrooms going for about £105 to £110k in the area.
The usual " we have had a lot of interest " soundbites..
Id be going for 100% FTB but I wont pay over the odds..0 -

Scary stuff. i think Scotland will follow the trend in the rest of the country in falling prices. Sounds like the price rises in Northern Ireland IE rising for no reason. I think prices will tank in the next couple of months in Scotland.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I am sure there will be slowdown but the average for the last year was a 16% rise (according to one of the Sundays)
Some areas have seen little movement whereas Aberdeen is going mad with more than a 30% rise in the past year.We all evolve - get on with it0 -
