Hi can everyone point me in the right direction for a chat room that is safe for 8 year old kids???

They are the law enforement people and have very good practical advice via their 'Think U Know' section. It is broken into age brackets and also parents/carers and teachers.

er, You want to introduce your kids to a chat room...........boy or girl............

There isn't a safe chat room for 8 year olds, chat rooms are the worst think possible, even Microsoft shut all there's down, they're better with a regulated MSN Messenger, where they only have their friends as contacts, and you check they know everyone in the list.

wouldnt say any are that great. Yes agree msn as you can save their contacts,delete or block if inapporiate and you can get a text file of all their conversations.

you could try club penguin, not exactly a chat room, but good fun for littlies.

If they know theri friends are on at the same time, they can meet them up and play games online together.
