Linking Tesco Savings account to current a/c

Options
Hi,

I have a Tesco Savings account. I've just tried to link it to my Natwest bank account (by adding myself as a new payee).

During the process it asked for my sort code & account number, but that's all. At no stage did it ask for any way of identifying the bank, i.e. bank name, IBAN or whatever. Is that correct, that all it needs is my sort code & a/c number?

Also, is it OK to w/d from this account without incurring any loss of interest etc? (I wanna w/d £1 just to make sure the link worked OK & it actually goes to my account).

many thanks
Fella

Yes all it needs are your sort code and acc no. It worked for me. There's no penalty for withdrawing. I think you start losing interest on the withdrawn amount on the day of withdrawal though. It was available for withdrawal from my bank account 2 days later (Mo - We).
